What is Shopra AI?
Shopra AI is a chat analyst built into Shopra. You ask a business question in plain English, such as why a distributor is behind plan or which retailers drove last month's growth, and it queries your Shopra data and answers with the numbers behind it. No SQL, no pivot tables, no waiting on the analyst backlog.
It is not a general chatbot pointed at a spreadsheet. It reads the same modeled data as your Shopra dashboards: products mapped across item codes, volume in Case Equivalence (CE), and distributors and retailers rolled up to one hierarchy.
What can you ask it?
- Performance: "How are depletions trending vs last year by distributor?"
- Pacing: "Are we on track for the month, and which channel is behind?"
- Drivers and drags: "Which SKUs and accounts explain the drop in the Southeast?"
- Inventory: "Which distributors are under two weeks of days on hand?"
- Promotions: "How did volume move during the Q2 Kroger promotion?"
- Your own files: attach a CSV or PDF, such as a distributor report or a retailer deck, and ask about it next to your Shopra data.
Why do generic AI tools get beverage data wrong?
Point a general AI tool at raw beverage data and it will answer confidently, and often wrongly. The hard part is not writing the query. It is knowing the rules:
- Distributor item codes change over time, so last year's volume sits under different codes.
- Pack sizes differ, so cases only add up after conversion to Case Equivalence.
- Distributors resend files, which double-counts volume unless duplicates are removed.
- Shipments, depletions, and scan each run on their own calendar and date basis.
- Joining sources by product name lines up the wrong items.
Shopra applies these rules before the AI ever sees the data, so its answers match the numbers your team already reviews.

Frequently asked questions
Which plans include Shopra AI?
Every plan. The Pro plan includes 50 AI queries per month, and higher plans add live connections so the AI answers from data that refreshes automatically.
Does the AI change or delete data?
No. Shopra AI is read-only. It can query and summarize your data but cannot edit records, send messages, or change settings.
Is my data used to train AI models?
No. Your data is used to answer your questions inside your Shopra organization and is not used to train models.
How do I know an answer is right?
Every answer comes from the same harmonized data as your dashboards, and each answer comes with the figures behind it, so you can check it against the matching view in Shopra.
What data sources can it answer from?
Whatever is connected to your Shopra organization: ERP shipments such as NetSuite, distributor depletions from VIP and Encompass, retail scan, Amazon Vendor Central, and trade promotions from Vividly.
